As Lazio dropped off the pace at the top of the standings following a frustrating 1-1 draw with Parma, coach Edy Reja bemoaned a hatful of missed chances as the reason behind his side’s inability to secure the win.
“When you create so many chances you need to score,” he declared to SkySport.
“I think over the course of the 90 minutes we played a very good game with a high tempo on a heavy pitch.
“However I cannot be happy with just the performance today. When you play this well you need to come away with all three points and we didn’t do that.
“Of course in football if you don’t put the ball in the back of the net it is impossible to achieve victory and we were a little wasteful today.
“With regards to the standings we are still happy with what the side is achieving and if we take one game at a time I see no reason to be concerned.”
