Ambrosini is back in light training and should return to action in the near future...Milan midfielder Massimo Ambrosini resumed light training on Tuesday, showing signs he is on the mend, according to calciomercato.com.
The veteran has been out since the Champions League clash with Auxerre in mid-September when he picked up a knee injury. He was originally expected to be out for three weeks, but his recovery is taking slightly longer than anticipated.
While the rest of the team available to coach Massimiliano Allegri did dribbling and speed exercises, Ambrosini worked separately and did specific stretches to aid his return to the team.
It is unlikely he will be selected for this Saturday's clash with Chievo Verona.
The 33-year-old, who has been a part of the club's system since 1995 is currently in the midst of contract negotiations as his current deal expires in June.
