Roma coach Claudio Ranieri is disappointed with the 2-0 loss to Napoli, as he claims his team 'gave up' after going 1-0 down. The pressure is mounting on 'The Tinkerman' after another loss, that leaves the club with just five points from six matches.
"We failed to repeat the first-half when we were the masters of the field," he admitted to Sky after the loss.
"Then we gave up after the first goal. This is not the Roma of last season, but we are working hard to try and recover.
"It's strange because our approach was right. After two victories at the Stadio Olimpico we wanted to continue with the good results."
Once again Borriello and Vucinic were fighting for space alongside Totti, but neither particularly impressed after scoring in recent matches. The Italian was eventually repalced by the Montenegro international.
"The replacement of Borriello? I saw he was tired and tried to speed up our atatck with Vucinic, but did not succeed."
