Manchester City new boy Mario Balotelli claims he owes a lot to the Nerazzurri but sees no problem with his preference for the Rossoneri...
Mario Balotelli left Inter and Italy for the Premier League in the summer, but the new Manchester City striker regrets throwing his Inter jersey on the ground after the 3-1 win over Barcelona in the Champions League last season.
Super Mario also admitted that Manchester is not the best place in the world but that he is in England for the football.
“I owe a lot to Inter and I wouldn’t throw their shirt on the ground again,” Balotelli said, according to Sportal.it. “I spent some fantastic years there but in the last months I realised that it was time for me to go. But I had no problems with my former team-mates.”
“I do respect president Massimo Moratti and I see no problem in me saying that I prefer Milan because I always liked them more.
“Once Jose Mourinho told me that I was so good he only needed me on the pitch for 20 minutes. As a person everybody has got his own opinion, but as a manager Roberto Mancini and Jose are the best.”
Super Mario also spoke about his move to Manchester City and his injury.
“I am not here because this is the best place in the world, I'm here for the football and I should recover from my injury soon. After the break it should only take me another week and then I will be ready.
"Sometimes I can do silly things but I won't end up like Antonio Cassano. I won't waste my team because my career is so important and no one will be able to ruin it," concluded the Italian striker.Follow Goal.com on . Get the latest football news direct...
