Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli could be set to be out of action for a month longer than originally anticipated, according to a report from The Independent, following surgey on his knee injury.
The Italian now looks set to be out of action for ten weeks, rather than the original four to six suggested.
Balotelli caused something of a stir back in Italy last week after appearing on a hospital balcony and shouting 'Forza Milan' just before the keyhole surgery on his knee.
This led to speculation that he is planning to leave City soon and join AC Milan, his boyhood club. His agent has quashed such specualtion though, whilst the player himself has stated that it is his intentions to do well as City before looking furth ahead in his career.
