Italian entrepreneur Giampaolo Angelucci has enlivened his interest in Roma by preparing a €100 million bid to buy the club from Unicredit.

Roma are currently controlled by Unicredit banking group after they took the club off the Sensi family following a debt settlement plan, with investment group Rothschild now responsible for finding a buyer.

Angelucci has declared his position and is thinking about investing with an offer of €100m to take control of the club.

But before he proceeds he wants to comb through the finer financial details and drill straight to the heart of figures including merchandising, television and sponsorship rights as well as the club's training centre Trigoria, which was sold, bought back and then re-mortgaged.

Angelucci aparently has backers in Europe and China who would enter with a minority stake. The Chinese consortium appeals as Roma would like to expand their image in Asia and launch football schools there.
