Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri has put the UEFA Champions League at the top of his list of priorities this season, believing the Rossoneri now have the team to attack Europe's best all the way to the final at Wembley Stadium.

Allegri told Corriere dello Sport: "It will be a busy season but we must honour Europe. We must go all the way to the final at Wembley."

In the final days and hours of the summer transfer window Milan brought in Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Barcelona and Robinho from Manchester City, leaving fans with a  mouth-watering proposition but the shrewd business also meant that Marco Borriello departed for Roma.

"It has been a painful assignment and he [Borriello] made a painful choice, we must however accept it," Allegri told the Italian newspaper.
