The Brazilian admits Biancocelesti president Claudio Lotito slammed the door on him, and now only wants to impress Azzurri boss Walter Mazzarri.
"I gave everything for that jersey, and I wanted to close my career there," Cribari told TMW upon his presentation as a new Partenopei player. "The president closed the door in my face on that idea.
"Mazzarri is a coach who wants a lot out of his players - even whilst they are training. This can only be seen as a good thing.
"I know that the boss was trying to lure me to join him at Sampdoria when he was in charge, and I hope to repay his trust in me," added the defender.
