By Rick D'Andrea
The agent of Milan midfielder Ignazio Abate has revealed his client could have been a Fiorentina player during the summer transfer window.
Andrea D'Amico admitted that he had conversations with Viola sporting director Pantaleo Corvino, and Corvino did not rule out the prospect.
"I can say that Abate to Fiorentina was something that I suggested to Corvino," D'Amico told Radio Blu. "Whatever happened beyond was something that will remain between us.
"I am not ruling out a move in the future for the player, as it could be something that occurs. But the player will need to fit into the objectives of the team at that time because they could change, and it is impossible to predict this far ahead," added the agent.
