Juventus sporting director Giuseppe Marotta has explained the motives behind several of the last-minute Bianconeri signings.
The side were able to capture Leandro Rinaudo on a season-long loan from Napoli, and knocked back Marco Borriello, who joined Roma.
"For Borriello, it was only an opportunity to have him on a temporary basis," Marotta revealed to Eurosport. "We did not and could not do more than this, so we decided to pull out of talks.
"As for Rinaudo, we needed a player in that position, and we got him. The accord with Napoli was swift.
"It was a hard transfer market season, but for us, it is about rejuvenation, and we are pleased. Not every single dream in terms of who we want does come true," summed up Marotta.
