Federico Marchetti To Remain On The Bench At Cagliari - Report
Cagliari goalkeeper Federico Marchetti could face sitting on the bench until January after failing to secure a transfer.
By Rick D'Andrea
Cagliari custodian Federico Marchetti could be forced to sit on the bench until January, after a deal with Roma could not be reached.
The Italian international had been linked with a season-long loan deal with the Giallorossi, but Isolani president Massimo Cellino refused to accommodate the offer.
Now, Novantesimo.it claim the shot-stopper may not be used by coach Pierpaolo Bisoli because of his actions and willingness to leave.
Reserve goalkeeper Michele Agazzi was appointed to be the replacement for the 27-year-old when rumours about his departure started to appear.
Arsenal, Fulham and Benfica were also seen as possible destinations for the player.
