OFFICIAL: Pablo Pintos Seals Permanent Transfer To Getafe From Lazio

Getafe have announced the signing of former Lazio right-back Pablo Pintos on a five-year contract for an undisclosed fee.
The 23-year-old Uruguayan defender only arrived at Stadio Olimpico in Rome in June but following an issue with his passport, and the arrival of Brazilian midfielder Hernanes, his time at the Biancocelesti proved short-lived.
Despite suggestions that the player has arrived in Madrid on loan, Geta sporting director Toni Munoz has confirmed via los Azulones official website that Pintos arrival is permanent.
"We present the new official Getafe player Pablo Pintos, signed for the next five seasons, and with which the squad is virtually closed," he remarked.
The player has declared himself happy to arrive in what he has labelled "the best league in the world" and was grateful to Getafe for the opportunity after his chances of playing for Lazio eroded due to overseas player regulations.
"The truth is that I am entirely happy, it's a very nice opportunity and I am eager to know the team is moving forward, and I can do things right add to the team," he remarked before revealing the cause on the end to his Lazio stay.
"As always, I was working hard, all was agreed but an issue with the passport, and the arrival of teeam-mate [Hernanes] ... but I am grateful to this club for opening the doors, grateful to the president [Miguel Torres] and I am going to give everything here.
"It's is the best league in the world, the league of the world champions, and for a player that is very rewarding, because we will have very tough opponents, but as I said I'm happy, happy that everything has been agreed."
