Javier Pastore Admits All Palermo Lacked Was A Goal Against Cagliari
The Argentine was involved in his side's scoreless draw...
By Rick D'Andrea
Palermo midfielder Javier Pastore believes the Rosanero should have walked away with the three points against Cagliari.
The match ended in a scoreless draw, but the Argentine attributes some his team's inability to score to their Europa League clash against Maribor last week.
"All that we lacked was a goal, as we played a great match," Pastore told Stadionews.it after the encounter with the Isolani. "We were a bit tired from the match against Maribor last week, and it showed.
"In the first half, we suffered because of our fatigue, and Cagliari did well. But in the second half, we got better, and only needed to be more clinical in front of goal.
"Cagliari also influenced the match somewhat, as they defended behind the ball, and it was very hard to find space in the penalty area," concluded the 21-year-old.
