Rafael Benitez: Inter Will React Against Bologna Following UEFA Super Cup Defeat

The tactician is looking for a win in his first Serie A clash...

Inter coach Rafael Benitez has told the press he expects his side to rebound quickly from the 2-0 loss to Atletico Madrid on Friday in the UEFA Super Cup. The Nerazzurri begin their Serie A defence on Monday with a match versus Bologna.

"The lads will react promptly to the defeat on Friday," he was quoted as saying by Ansa, suggesting "some changes," but no revolution could take place regarding the line-up at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara.

Meanwhile, right-back Maicon has been left out to do a knee injury, although some rumours are that true reason is because negotiations with Real Madrid are continuing. However, he could be replaced by starlet Davide Santon, who spent a majority of last season on the sidelines.

"[Santon] is doing well. I will speak with him to see if he has confidence in himself [after so long out]," he concluded.
