thumbnail Hello,

City agreement found, now talks turn towards player wages...

Lazio coach Edy Reja has left the door open for Manchester City striker Roque Santa Cruz, but warned strenuous wage demands could scupper a deal.

La Repubblica
claims Aquile chief Claudio Lotito has reached a €6 million transfer agreement with City, but questions over the striker's wage demands appear to have blown the move off course.

Yet Reja is hanging onto hopes of landing him, though doubts have crept into his analysis.

"He [Santa Cruz] is one of the players we are interested in and we are evaluating," he said.

"There are two or three alternatives too. We have to find an economic solution."

Meanwhile, Cristian Ledesma is set for showdown talks with Lotito over his future at the club.

Il Corriere dello Sport reports the midfielder will speak with the president, and if an agreement is not reached he will be sold.

His deal expires in 2011, and Lotito will not wait to lose him on a free deal.
