Roma goalkeeper Julio Sergio has breathed a sigh of relief after learning an injury picked up in a recent friendly against Grosseto is not serious, according to Ansa.
The Brazilian left the match with a sore left thigh. However, the results of his medical examination have been encouraging as they revealed there has been no injury to the flexor muscle.
Therefore he looks set to return for the Italian Super Cup against rivals Inter on August 21 at San Siro.
The player pipped Doni as coach Claudio Ranieri's first choice goalkeeper last season after a string of impressive performances, helping the Giallorossi to second place in Serie A.
