Italian outfit Cagliari have completed the transfer of Gabriele Perico from Serie B side Albinoleffe for an undisclosed fee. The 26-year-old defender has signed a four-year deal with the Sardinians.
Perico started his professional career with Prato and joined Albinoleffe in the summer of 2003. He was farmed out on loan to Monza in 2006-07 and has developed into a key player at Albinoleffe since his return.
The versatile defender has represented Italy at under-20 level several times.
Additionally, Cagliari have added attacker Simone Laner from Albinoleffe to their squad. The 26-year-old forward has also signed a four-year deal with the Isolani.
Laner wore the jerseys of Verona, Carrarese, Castelnuovo, Sanremese and Pro Sesto before joining Albinoleffe in 2008. The former Italy under-20 starlet scored six goals in 32 league appearances last term, thus attracting the interest of Cagliari.
