Cassano, Balotelli and several other new faces as Prandelli overhauls Italy's squad...The new look Italy will include Antonio Cassano and Mario Balotelli and an array of new faces including foreign-born players eligible to play.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claims coach Cesare Prandelli has Balotelli and Cassano as the first names on his list. And he is set to vigorously change the set up, with only a handful of players from the 2010 World Cup making the grade. There will be no place for forwards Vincenzo Iaquinta or Antonio di Natale.
Here is the probable 30-man Italy squad Prandelli reportedly has in mind. None of the goalkeepers have played for Italy, neither have Thiago Motta, Cristian Ledesma and Balotelli.
Goalkeepers: Salvatore Sirigu, Emiliano Viviano, Marco Storari, Antonio Mirante
Defenders: Leonardo Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini, Luca Antonini, Cristian Zaccardo, Mattia Cassani, Alessandro Gamberini, Salvatore Bocchetti, Christian Maggio
Midfielders: Thiago Motta, Cristian Ledesma, Daniele Gallopa, Andrea Pirlo, Daniele De Rossi, Riccardo Montolivo, Claudio Marchiso, Simone Pepe, Angelo Palombo
Strikers: Alberto Gilardino, Marco Borriello, Giampaolo Pazzini, Antonio Cassano, Mario Balotelli, Giuseppe Rossi, Fabio Quagliarella, Marco Marchionni, Raffaele Palladino
