Ronaldinho's Agent Denies Current Contract Talks With Milan But Both Parties Willing To Meet

Ronaldinho looks set to stay but for how long...
Ronaldinho's brother and agent, Roberto de Assis, has denied any talk of an immediate contract extension with Milan after meeting with vice-president Adriano Galliani but he has suggested that, in time, negotiations will be held between the two parties.

"We [Ronaldinho, Galliani and himself] were together in Varese."

Ronaldinho did not play any part in the 2-0 loss to minnows Varese despite now seeming certain to remain in Milan until his contract is up. The 'Dinho saga has been dragged on all summer after his exclusion from the Selecao World Cup squad, with a return home or a possible move to the MLS speculated almost every few hours.

"I have met Galliani for five minutes and we talked about nothing. He [Ronaldinho] has a contract with Milan until 2011 and has everything he needs right now," said De Assis.

"There is no proposal to extend the contract of Milan, it is rumours.

"But there is a willingness to make a new contract renewal, but we have not yet spoken."
