Juventus have signed Simone Pepe on loan from Udinese for the 2010/11 season, the club announced on Wednesday.

A statement released on their official club website reads:

"Juventus Football Club S.p.A communicates to have perfected their agreement with Udinese Calcio S.p.A for the acquisition on a temporary basis of the player Simone Pepe valide from July 1, 2010 for a fee of €2.6million to be paid over the course of the season.

"The contract foresees Juventus as having the option to sign the player permanently after the 2010/11 season for €7.5m payable in three instalments."

Pepe spent the say in Turin on Tuesday where he passed his medicals with the club.

He is currently in South Africa with the Italy squad as they prepare for the World Cup.
