Palermo Reject Birmingham City Request For Fabrizio Miccoli
The Rosanero have sheltered Miccoli from a shower of Premier League interest...
By Salvatore Landolina
Palermo sporting director Walter Sabatini has told Birmingham City that Fabrizio Miccoli is not for sale as he impedes them from developing their interest in the striker.
Sabatini confirmed the Premier League club have made their interest known officially, but it has been swiftly turned down.
"Miccoli is not for sale. A request from Birmingham is real, but we have already said that we are not interested, in fact I consider it not to be an issue," he told Reterete24.it.
"The player will stay with us next season unless he asks us to leave so he can gain a new experience."
On Thursday, La Gazzetta dello Sport claimed Birmingham had made an initial €4million offer for 'Il Romario del Salento'.
Miccoli scored 19 goals in 32 games for the Rosanero last term, firing them to a Europa League place.
