Grosseto striker Mauricio Pinilla is on the verge of signing a four-year contract with Palermo, after agreeing to terms with the Rosaneri.
The 26-year-old was wanted by a host of clubs across the peninsula, after a stellar season in the Serie B for the Tuscan-based outfit.
"I only wanted to join Palermo," the Chilean told TMW. "When my agent was telling me about the incoming offers, I automatically told him to refute them, as I had already set my mind on going to Palermo.
"I have always dreamed of playing with footballers of the highest level such as [striker Fabrizio] Miccoli, and want to demonstrate that I can also score many goals in Serie A.
"For me, it is a bet that I want to win. I will not let the society down," he concluded.
Pinilla finished the season, having scored 24 goals in as many matches. His move will cost approximately €6 million.
