The president will need to find suitable replacements for the duo...Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has admitted that the Rosaneri will lose midfielders Mark Bresciano and Fabio Simplicio in the summer.
Bresciano has been linked with a move to Sampdoria, while Lazio, Roma and Inter were all interested in the Brazilian during the recent winter transfer window.
Zamparini also expressed his opinions on the race for fourth position, and why Italy will not win the World Cup in June.
"We are currently working towards reinforcing the squad, looking for the necessary players to fill the gaps," the patron told Salastampa. "We will lose Simplicio and Bresciano, and will also need to strengthen the defence.
"Sampdoria and Juventus, and possibly even Genoa could also join the fight for fourth place. It will be interesting.
"History has always told us that Italy has had a bad World Cup every time they have won the previous tournament, so I do not expect us to repeat what we did four years ago," he concluded.
