After watching rivals Inter take another tumble on their march towards the Scudetto, as they were ousted 3-1 by Catania on Friday, AC Milan coach Leonardo refused to get carried away at his side’s chances of closing the gap to just one point tomorrow evening.

“Inter’s defeat yesterday will not determine the Scudetto,” he declared to Gazzetta.it.

“There are still many games left to play, but it's great still being in the hunt for the title and it certainly adds more spice to the championship.

“After the setback in Manchester during the week, it is comforting to know we still have something to aim for.

“We have the chance to reduce the gap to one point with a victory against Chievo.

“Doing so would go along way in easing the pain of our Champions League exit.”
