Catania Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic: We Were Superior To Inter Tonight
The Elefanti tactician praised his side’s belief as they came back to haunt his former team…
By Stefano Federici
“What I have been saying for weeks now is that this side always looks to impose its own game,” he declared to SkySport.
“The boys never stop believing until the final whistle, and many probably thought that was it when Inter took a second half lead.
“We came back strong and in the end fully deserved the win tonight. I must repeat however, we still haven’t achieved anything and this game is only worth three points like the rest.
“I felt we should have gone ahead in the first half, and it was only natural that Inter would come out firing after the break. Despite going behind I was proud with the manner in which we bounced back as we started to play more direct with our backs against the wall.
“In the visitors best moment we went on to score, and this proved crucial in the arc of the game. If we can continue in this spirit for the final rounds of the season, I am sure we will be in a strong position to avoid the drop,” concluded the coach.
