Mauro Zarate will be cheering on his Lazio team shoulder to shoulder with the Curva Nord Ultras on Sunday after accepting their invitation to join them in the stands.

Il Corriere Dello Sport claims Zarate, who serves the first of a two-game ban for swearing at referee Christian Brighi last week, will be with the Curva Nord boys. His brother and agent Sergio Zarate, and another agent Luis Rizzi will join him.

Zarate was set to be seated in the Monte Mario section of the stadium, but he has decided to keep the faithful company in a show of solidarity.

The move may be met with opposition from president Claudio Lotito as the Curva Nord Ultras have often taken an anti-Lotito stance over the past few seasons.

Zarate will also be celebrating his birthday this weekend. He turns 23 on Saturday.
