"We did some grand things in the Champions League, and we should be very proud of this," Marchionni stated to TMW. "Against Bayern, we demonstrated that we were worthy of progressing through to the quarter-finals, but this is football.
"In the league, we are currently off the pace, but we can recuperate the gap, and close in on a European place," he added.
