Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani: We Will Win The Scudetto
The Rossoneri official is confident of ending the 2009-10 season at the top of the league...
By Adam Scime
Milan's season took a massive hit on Wednesday evening when the club were humbled 4-0 at Old Trafford by Manchester United and eliminated from the Champions League.
The result leaves the Italian outfit with just the Serie A title to fight for and vice-president Adriano Galliani has compared their situation to 2004, when they were knocked out of Europe's top competition by Deportivo La Coruna, but convincingly won the Scudetto.
"Now you will see that it will be like what happened after La Coruna, we will win the Scudetto," he told the press at Malpensa airport, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Rossoneri are currently in second place in the standings, four points behind city rivals Inter.
Meanwhile, centre-back Alessandro Nesta, who missed the match in England, has gone to visit Professor Pier Paolo Mariani, a specialist that has also worked with other notable players like Francesco Totti, at the Villa Stuart clinic in Rome to have his knee assessed.
