Sampdoria are ready to tie down midfielder Andrea Poli by offering him a new deal in an attempt to stave off interest from Manchester City.

Tuttosport claims the Italian under-21 international is attracting big interest from City and Juventus, but Sampdporia have brought out the paperwork and they are working on a new deal.

His current contract expires in 2012, but 'Doria are planning to add two years to that, giving him a wage rise too. Poli earns €150,000 per annum.
