Christian Vieri Anoints Inter Boss Jose Mourinho
‘Bobo’ reckons that Mourinho truly is the ‘Special One’…
By Vince Masiello
Former Inter striker Christian Vieri has admitted he is fascinated by Nerazzurri coach Jose Mourinho and would have loved to play at the San Siro under the Portuguese tactician.
“I like Mourinho very much,” Vieri told Sky Sport Italia.
“We would have got along well. He has a great personality and keeps his team under control. Besides, he has won so much during his career.”
Vieri left Inter in 2005 after a six-year spell at the club, and added: “I still hear from [Marco] Materazzi from time to time. I have a nice friendly relationship with him.”
Vieri retired from football after rescinding his contract with Serie A side Atalanta last year, though he did have a brief trial with Blackburn Rovers in the summer.
