Brazilian’s agent confirms talks…

FC Twente defender Douglas could be bound for Italy next season, with the player’s agent confirming he is currently talking to a Serie A club.
"We are in contact with an Italian team, but we can't name names because we don’t want to interfere with the negotiations,” Marcos Paulo Souza Ribeiro told calciomercato.
Ribeiro went on to say that his client would prefer to join a club with a strong Brazilian contingent already in place, but still refused to be drawn on who that might be.
"Obviously, it would be easier to adapt to a language, a culture and an entirely new type of game if he could count on some of his countrymen."
Finally, the agent confirmed that his client is likely leave the Netherlands at the end of the season and revealed that any Serie A outfit interested in the 22-year-old may face competition from other clubs around Europe.
“I can say that chances are good that Douglas will move to a foreign team in the summer, because we have also been contacted by an English club and a German one.”
