AC Milan striker Marco Morriello bemoaned the lack of a killer instinct up front as his side drew 0-0 with Roma in Serie A last night.

The Diavoli enjoyed long spells of possession but were unable to find a breakthrough and missed a golden opportunity to move to within one point of leaders Inter.

“We had plenty of chances, but we were not as clinical as we usually are,” Borriello told the club’s official website.

“It’s too bad as we deserved to get a win considering how the team performed.

“We defended well and conceded little to them. And when we had a chance to attack them, we caused Roma plenty of troubles.”

Milan pay visit to Manchester United next Wednesday for the return leg of their Champions League last 16 tie and will have to reverse a 3-2 deficit from the first leg to advance to the next round.

Borriello said: “A tough clash awaits us, but we’ll go to Old Trafford being aware of our qualities after this match during which we managed to dominate proceedings at a big venue, showing that we can play good football.”

The big Swede scored a double against the Gunners back in 2010.
