AC Milan Confirm Alexandre Pato Out For Seven To Ten Days
Th prolific Rossoneri striker will have a brief spell on the sidelines...
AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato pulled up lame during the 3-1 win over Atalanta on the weekend and required an immediate substitution.Fans feared the worst for the young Brazilian, but the Rossoneri have confirmed there is no muscle lesion and he will only miss seven to ten days of action.
"AC Milan announce that their player Alexandre Pato underwent an MRI that revealed the results of a distortion to his right hamstring, showing there was no real muscle damage. The player will undergo further tests Monday morning," read a statement of the club's official website, acmilan.com.
The injury means that the starlet, who scored twice against the Orobici, will certainly miss the upcoming Serie A clash against Roma and most likely be ruled out for the Champions League battle against Manchester United on March 10.
The Rossoneri lost 3-2 at San Siro to the Premier League giants in the first leg and will be required to win at Old Trafford to have any hope of overturning the deficit.
