Lazio Goalkeeper Fernando Muslera Agrees New Lazio Deal - Report
The Uruguayan is expected to sign on until 2014.
By Vince Masiello
The 23-year-old had started talks this month to renew his contract with the Biancocelesti and has reportedly agreed terms to extend his stay at the Stadio Olimpico until June 2014.
Muslera’s existing deal would have expired in 2012 and the Uruguayan international is also expected to earn a considerable pay rise which will see him pocket €1.5 million per year.
Muslera arrived in the Eternal City from Montevideo Wanderers in the summer of 2007 and has managed to win over his detractors after a troubled start to life in Italy.
The shot-stopper sat out a suspension last night as Lazio conceded a late goal to draw 1-1 with Fiorentina at the Olimpico.
