The Champions League Draw Was Unlucky To Both Chelsea And Inter – Jose Mourinho

'The Special One' admits both sides would have preferred a more favourable opponent…
Inter coach Jose Mourinho has admitted the Champions League round of 16 draw that coupled his side with former club Chelsea was unlucky for both teams.

“I always repeat the same thing, at this stage of the Champions League it all starts with a bit of luck and a bit of bad luck in the draw," he told Inter Channel.

"Inter were unlucky to get Chelsea and Chelsea were unlucky to get Inter. It would have been much easier for the English team to play against Stuttgart, Olympiacos, or against other more approachable teams,” he continued.

Inter host Chelsea for the first leg of the tie in just under two weeks and Mourinho admitted injuries and suspensions may end up being the deciding factor between the two sides.

“They want to win and they think they can, we want to win and we think we can. The two decisive moments will be the two dates of the matches, February 24 and March 16. In those two moments the difference will be the injuries and suspensions.”
