Bastian Schweinsteiger - Bayern Munich
According to a report in Il Corriere dello Sport, beleaguered Serie A giants Juventus are closely monitoring the progress of German international Bastian Schweinsteiger, currently playing at Bayern Munich.

Juventus have been performing disappointingly of late and are therefore eager to strengthen their squad in the summer of 2010, with the midfield being one of the problem areas.

New signings Diego and Felipe Melo have been unable to make an impact this term and could therefore be offloaded again at the end of the season. Schweinsteiger is reportedly one of the prime candidates to replace the aforementioned duo.

The German international has been in impressive form this season and his good performances haven't gone unnoticed elsewhere. Schweinsteiger was previously linked with Chelsea.

However, it remains to be seen whether Bayern are willing to let go of the versatile midfielder. The 25-year-old Schweinsteiger's current contract runs until 2012.
