Roma captain Francesco Totti has commented on the provisioned winter break set out for next season.
Agreeing with Inter defender Marco Materazzi, the Giallorossi striker believes that it is unfair for foreign players, as they do not get to enjoy the entire Christmas break, having to rush back in order to be available for matches.
"I read what Materazzi publicly wrote on his official website about next season and the winter break and in particular, about the scheduled matches over this period," 'Er Pupone' stated to Corriere Dello Sport.
"I want to say that I totally agree with his thoughts.
"I am also convinced that it would be correct moving the Coppa Italia match from January 6 to December 23, which would give the possibility for the foreign players in our league the chance to have some quality family time during the entire festive period.
"The players should be consulted when making these types of decisions, as we can provide some useful insight into how the decisions will affect us," summed up Totti.
Roma take on Palermo this weekend.
