“I am very happy to come back here [Sao Paulo]” he told tuttomercatoweb. “I thank the fans who have wanted me here. Special thanks, however, goes to Roma who have given me this opportunity.”
The former Real Madrid man has returned to the club where he enjoyed so much success before moving to Spain and confirmed the six-month loan deal was a dream come true.
“I'm living a dream,” he told Globo before leaving Rome today. “I'm going back to my house where I lived for the best stage of my career. I can't wait to get on the plane and go to Brazil.”
The Brazilian barely played for Roma this season but confirmed his desire would make up for any lack of match practice.
“I played two consecutive games for a month. At first, I played 80 minutes, in the second, 50. Of course I'm not 100 per cent, but the desire to return to play for Sao Paulo is so great.”
