Inter assistant Giuseppe Baresi has compared Jose Mourinho to one of the previous legendary tactician's at the club, Giovanni Trapattoni.

Mourinho won the title last season in Serie A and his men currently hold an eight point lead over second placed Roma. Current Republic of Ireland manager Trapattoni was in charge of Inter from 1986-1991, winning a Scudetto and a UEFA Cup with the club.

"An analogy is that they both have the goal to always win, a winning project, and have always done very well and are good involving all the staff, the team, and the club, to achieve this common goal together," he said during a press conference.

As always, referees have come under fire this season in Italy and Baresi suggested that the officials receive too much criticism.

"We all complain, from Napoli complaining to Milan complaining. In the end I think the referee is the first victim at the end of a match. For myself, I would not like to be in the shoes of an arbitrator, in this period, this season, or ever," he concluded.

The Nerazzurri visit Parma tomorrow evening, for their match that was rescheduled due to weather conditions on January 31.
