Roma winger Rodrigo Taddei has explained how he has managed to rekindle his career after enduring a difficult time at the Olimpico.

The 29-year-old had looked a shadow of his former self in recent months, but has been in scintillating form of late and it showed last night as the man who trademarked the ‘Aurelio’ displayed another of his footballing tricks during the Lupi’s 2-0 win over Udinese in the Coppa Italia semi-final first leg tie.

“Yes, that was a futsal move that I had rehearsed in training,” he explained to the Roma Channel.

“I had already tried it in vain, but it went better this time around. Now I hope to do it even better so that I will create a scoring chance.

“Little by little I am managing to produce the tricks I comfortably execute in training. I have waited and worked hard during the Christmas holidays. I was at Trigoria all the time.

“I overcame my difficult moment thanks to my family, to my friends and my team-mates.”

“I’m now finally back to my best after keeping silent for a while and working hard. And I am now reaping the fruits.”

Roma face a tough Serie A trip to fellow Champions League hopefuls Fiorentina this weekend.

“It will be a difficult and key clash,” concluded Taddei.

After the match, I took to Facebook and Twitter again to get some fan reaction. Lets take a look at what our readers have to say:

Joel Peeperkoorn feels that Arsenal should rest their big guns in the second leg, saying: “There's no way we can beat Milan by five goals."

Jez Cook, however, takes a different perspective, singing himself back to positivity: “FIVE FOUR we're gunna win five four we're gunna win five four we're gunna win five four ....FIVE FOUR we're gunna win five four we're gunna win five four we're gunna win five four ...FIVE FOUR - just keep repeating it.”

Well, you have to admire his fighting spirit...

Stat time again, folks, as we can reveal that tonight is Milan's biggest ever win the Champions League, while it is Arsenal's biggest ever loss in the competition!

Incidentally, no team has ever progressed in Europe after losing the first leg by such a heavy deficit.
