Fiorentina have secured the loan services of Barcelona striker Keirrison, the Italian club have confirmed on their official website.

The Brazilian frontman, who cost Barcelona €15 million, had signed for Benfica on loan during the summer, but was looking for a new club to flourish after failing to make his mark at the Estadio da Luz.

With the Eagles, Keirrison did not score a single goal in official games, which relegated him to the periphery at the Portuguese club following the winter signings of Alan Kardec and Eder Luis.

The 21-year-old will sign a two-year loan contract with Fiorentina, who have secured the option to make it a permanent deal, following a routine medical with the Viola.

Keirrison will now become Fiorentina's only reinforcement for the attack, after Sampdoria star Antonio Cassano ultimately decided against moving to the Artemio Franchi until the end of the season.
