"I come to Cagliari with such enthusiasm. My goal is to grow and improve," he revealed to itasportpress.
"I learned of the transfer today and I immediately said yes. Cagliari seems like a very compact and united squad. The rest I will find about in person.
"I know [Andrea] Lazzari, as he was with me at Piacenza. At the time he was in the first team, but occasionally I trained with them."
The 21-year-old is eager to make an impact at his new club and is ready play in whatever role coach Massimiliano Allegri asks of him.
"I can play in any position in midfield. I'm better on the left, but I hope to find space [in the team], where I am deployed is of little importance," he concluded.
Nainggolan joined Piacenza in 2005 and was a cornerstone of the Belgium Under-21 squad before earning his first cap for the senior side in 2009.
