Milan defender Gianluca Zambrotta is set to start the clash against Udinese in the Coppa Italia on Wednesday evening, making a long awaited return from injury, according to tuttomercatweb.
The full-back has been out for over a month, having last featured in the 2-0 loss to Palermo in December. He missed crucial matches during his period out of action, including clashes against Juventus and Inter. But Milan coach Leonardo is expected to test the Italian international tonight.
The Brazilian is expected to rest a number of first team players at the San Siro, including Andrea Pirlo, Massimo Ambrosini and Thiago Silva. Meanwhile, David Beckham and Ronaldinho will not even be on the bench.
In the previous round, Milan and Udinese both defeated part-time opponents in Novara and Lumezzane respectively.
Below are the likely starting line-ups:
Milan (4-3-1-2): Abbiati, Zambrotta, Bonera, Kaladze, Antonini, Flamini, Gattuso, Jankulovski, Di Gennaro, Huntelaar, Inzaghi
Udinese (4-4-2): Belardi, Pasquale, Basta, Zapata, Coda, Pepe, Lodi, Inler, Isla, Sanchez, Floro Flores.
