According to Turin-based daily Tuttosport, Juventus are poised to open negotiations with fellow Serie A side Genoa to take striker Raffaele Palladino back to Turin.

The 25-year-old is still co-owned by the two clubs and Juve are reportedly prepared to relinquish their half of defender Domenico Criscito’s sporting rights in order to re-sign their youth product.

Vice-director general Roberto Bettega and sporting director Alessio Secco are allegedly set to meet with their Grifoni counterparts over the coming days, but a deal is unlikely to be finalised during the current transfer window and Palladino is expected to return to the Olimpico at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, the Italy international is edging closer to a return to action after damaging knee ligaments in the Europa League clash with Valencia last month, but this weekend’s Serie A match with his hometown club Napoli might come too early.
