Fiorentina Gifted The First Half To Bologna – Coach Cesare Prandelli
The Viola tactician was disappointed in the manner in which his side fell to Bologna…
By Stefano Federici
“We gave away the first half playing without intensity and well below our standards,” he declared to SkySport shortly after the game.
“The approach to the game was wrong but these things can happen in football.
“The team has coped with emergencies in the past, but today I think mentally we just weren’t there.
“I was pleased with the character and quality showed in the second half, but in the top flight you simply cannot gift the opening period to the opposition as we did.
“It is only natural that in certain stages of the season you feel the weight of injuries and suspensions a little more, but we must work harder to keep the results ticking.”
