Chievo’s Pitch Was Not Up To Serie A Standards – Juventus Coach Ciro Ferrara
The Bianconeri tactician was unhappy with his side’s reaction after going a goal down…
By Stefano Federici
“This is a very negative period for the team,” he declared to Sky Sports.
“I don’t want to look for any alibis even if it's true we have had a number of important absences recently.
“When we conceded the goal, there wasn’t a very good reaction. This afternoon we simply didn’t create enough chances and this isn’t good enough.
“Whilst we aren’t looking for excuses, I think it must be said that the pitch this afternoon simply wasn’t up to the standard of the top flight.”
“I will look to analyse this moment and see how we can come through at the other end.
“The club needs to weigh up which way it wants to move forward and I simply cannot say whether they will decide to make a coaching change or not. Nothing has been said to me directly so all I can do is carry on with my duties to the best of my abilities.
“I am convinced that this team still has great worth and we are simply not expressing this right now.”
