The Italian side have announced they will take no action, but are monitoring the situation closely.
“We do not plan to put pressure on the Mali Federation nor on Momo Sissoko so that the player returns early from the African Nations Cup,” reads a note from the Turin club.
“We will constantly monitor the situation, both regarding his safety and his physical condition, given that he is recovering from an injury.”
The Togo team bus came under gunfire attack on Friday in Angola where the African Cup of Nations is set to kick off today.
Juve boss Ciro Ferrara was questioned about the tragic events during yesterday’s press conference and revealed he will contact Sissoko as soon as possible.
“I have yet to do it, but I plan to hear from him over the next few hours,” he said.
“I want to understand what the situation is after the attack on the Togo bus and also to get an update on his recovery process.”
