President Alessandro Ruggeri Already Has Ideas On New Atalanta Coach - Report
The Orobici patron wants to get the next coaching decision right...
Atalanta president Alessandro Ruggeri already has a name on his mind for whom should replace Antonio Conte as coach, after the former Juventus player resigned from his position after a 2-0 loss to Napoli on Wednesday.
Conte was the second tactician to move on from the Bergamaschi, after Angelo Gregucci was exonerated after only four weeks into the new season.
"I already have a name on my mind, but I cannot get this wrong," Ruggeri stated to Novantesimo.it . "I want to take my time to think things through, and make the best decision for the team and the society.
"Conte's reign at Bergamo ended badly, not only on the pitch, but also with the fans.
"The gestures he made against them should be avoided, because our fans are extremely important," added Ruggeri.
Under the former Bari boss, the team was able to capture 13 points from as many matches.
