Fernando Muslera Wants Contract Renewal With Lazio - Agent
The shot-stopper has received offers from other clubs, but wants to commit his future to the Biancocelesti...
The agent of Lazio goalkeeper Fernando Muslera has stated that his client is keen on a contract extension from the club to be offered before June, otherwise, the player could leave.
Daniel Fonseca has told Radio Sei that despite four meetings with Biancocelesti president Claudio Lotito, nothing has been agreed upon.
"At what point are the contract negotiations at? Call Lotito. I haven't from him on the matter for a long time," Fonseca responded.
"I have met with the president on four occasions, and we have asked him quite clearly, explaining our situation and now, it is up to Lotito to think about Fernando."
The agent also offered some words of advice, on how the president should treat his stars.
"I think that the valued players such as Muslera, and like Goran Pandev [who is now at Inter] was, need to be held tightly, but things don't always go that way," Fonseca, a former Juventus player, advised.
"We are not distant... I won't wait an eternity to resolve the issue.
"We are after a renewal, which will keep Muslera at the club, as we have received numerous offers from other clubs. But now, we want an answer from Lazio.
"And should an answer fail to arrive by June, he will consider playing elsewhere," affirmed Fonseca.
The Aquile take on Udinese this weekend.
