Napoli midfielder Walter Gargano has signed a contract tying him to the Azzurri until 2015.

The 25-year-old and his agent Pablo Berancourt, were met by president Aurelio De Laurentiis in Montevideo, to finalise the contract, according to TMW.

Gargano wanted a two-year extension to his current contract to be finalised before the Calciomercato came alive, securing his position at the Partenopei.

The Uruguayan was also commanding more money, as he was getting paid less than some of his team-mates.
